Maximizing the window of opportunity



The client was preparing for the global launch of a product, which offered significant benefits over the current standard of care. It had an eighteen-month window of opportunity before a number of other new entrants would join the market.


Novus Pharma Consulting developed a stress test simulation via a Wargaming Workshop. Competitor response, assessment and analysis were prepared and incorporated into the framework and assumptions were tested within two distinct scenarios. The preparedness for launch of key stakeholders was also tested.


Key areas of weakness within the launch plan and urgent action items with potentially significant impact were identified during the simulation tasks and exercises. Outcomes included recommendations for improving opinion leader strategy, early engagement of a market access group to manage relationships and prepare for reimbursement negotiations, and a review of sales force incentives and compensation plans.
